But let’s face it… there is some major prepping to be done if we expect to be fresh-faced, relaxed and bloat-free come Monday morning. And when I refer to prepping, I am alluding to the act of ensuring one is properly outfitted for a day of gluteonus consumption of gourmet junk-food & drink, (yes there is such a thing), as well as walking, dancing, singing & interacting with thousands of fellow Lolla-lovers.

My plan? Go big, comfy with lots of fabulous style – think girly meet modest hippie!

Cute comfy denim shorts are the perfect casual-chic look I’m opting for; the shorts allow one to cop-a-squat and rest on whatever patch of grass I should come upon.

Speaking of rest, I don’t think I’ll need too much, as I am all grown up and sane enough to know that this is NOT the time to don heals of any kind or heaven forbid go barefoot! (Eeeeek – the horror!) Wear sensible, comfortable, but cute shoes ladies and I am not referring to flip flops.

A loose-fit, bright printed top is a must for hiding the food baby that will emerge with all the unadulterated consumption of the gourmet goodies. Such consumption is completely acceptable, as I will be walking and dancing off a myriad amount of calories in my quest for the best musical act of the weekend!

A hat– yes a HAT. I do intend to return to Lolla in years to come and would like to preserve my albino complexion for as long as humanly possible; a girl’s gotta fit in, if you know what I mean. This said, a hat will help shield the UVA/UVB rays as well as my grimace when I see the 22-year old running about barefoot (oh the mud children, sigh).

Crossbody bag – this should go without saying; no bucket bags, clutches or even backpacks. Keep what you carry simple; skin and lip protection, rain gear (this was a MUST last year), id, cash and a camera/phone, leaving hands free for food, drink, and finger snapping!
