It’s been a busy Summer, but I’m baaack!

Lots of little things make for a jam-packed Summer, here’s a recap!

We’re midway through September, and even though we are experiencing some decent weather, we occasionally get a hint of the chill to come in the not too distant future.

So as I take in the last bits of the summer sun and begin to plan out the next season, I realized how much I’d accomplished the past few months, (like this pretty great website refresh, thanks, Jules!). I still managed to squeeze in some of the things I love… take a peek!

Busy Summer Cashmere and Wit

Hanging out with family & friends I started out this summer with a quick trip to Michigan for my birthday, (Yay me!) to enjoyed one of my favorite past times, WINE at the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Fest. What’s better than drinking wine at the beach on a gorgeous day with friends on your birthday! (Pictured left to right: My sister-in-law Sharon, yes I am a lucky one, I married Jeff and got a pretty awesome gal pal to boot! Angie, the photog behind the camera of lots of the images you see on my new website and Mari, I keep her around for shits and giggles!)

Falling in Love. We added a new member to our family this summer. Everyone meet Ollie! Ollie comes to us from an organization near and dear to my heart, the Tree House Humane Society. I may be biased, but he is the cutest kitty ever and came to us well-loved and healthy, thanks to all of the amazing work they do.  I’m looking forward to their the Black Cat Ball in October where I get to dress fancy and wear my light-up cat ears

Lots of me time.  One of the things I wanted to make sure I added to this summer was to take frequent breaks to refresh and step away from work a bit more consistently.  Don’t get me wrong; I love my job. But I also love myself enough to know that I need to separate me-time from the business side and quiet the mind, to come back to clients refreshed, inspired and ready to give them 100%.

This summer I incorporated more yoga into my life, plus it’s a fabulous excuse to sport my favorite workout wear!  I’ve also spent a lot of time reading, which is not a new thing, but it is something that I love to do.

Traditions. I love traditions it keeps me grounded and gives me lots to look forward throughout the year, and summer-time is no exception.

Two of my favorite events on my summer calendar each year are Lollapalooza and most recently, The US Tennis Open! As you can see these two, like most “holidays,” are steeped in traditions like EATING! ‘Lolla like an adult’ is my motto, and that requires scoping out all the gourmet treats, a spot under a shaded tree and comfy shoes!

Shopping.  Hey now! You didn’t think I wouldn’t include a little of this, did you? I did have a kind of busy summer with closet cleanses and seeing old and new clients. However,  I manage to pick up on a few faves for myself like my this summery go-to tote, and this great Alice & Olivia jacket that will take me straight into Fall!

I’d say it was a pretty jammed packed summer and I can’t wait to see what this season of style, events, and new beginning have in store in the coming months. In the meantime, be sure to visit my brand new Shop, where I curate many of favorite finds; you’ll see featured in my blogs and Instagram feed!
