Dressing Room Diaries: Spring Outerwear

If you haven’t noticed, Spring has Sprung in Chicago! I know this really isn’t something I can count on as far as consistency is concerned, however, it certainly is a glimmer of hope of what’s to come.

The erratic weather of Fil brings with it a whole host of uncertainty each morning as Tom Skilling delivers a bevy of weather scenarios that may or may not pop up throughout the course of each day. I certainly don’t intend to wait for Mother Nature to bring May flowers, but in the meantime, I’m ready to don bright patterns and colors and what better way than to start off with some of Spring’s most stylish outerwear. This should tide me over until the sun graces our fair city, and I’m able to pull out ALL my bright, warm weather threads!

Take a peek a some of my favorite outerwear picks of the season, straight from the dressing room on what was actually a very rainy day, (hence the messy hair)! Hmm, perhaps the next post should be about umbrellas!?

Sssh, don’t tell but I do have the slightest obsession with Hobbs trenches! This one is everything but basic; the gorgeous pattern stole my heart and may need to make an appearance in my spring coat rotation!

This checked pattern is quite smart and versatile; easily transitioning from work week to weekend!

A classic yellow slicker is the perfect way to brighten the grayest of an April showers!

There’s one thing our friends across the pond know very well and that’s rain gear! Seriously, you can not go wrong with this tried and true English brand; timeless and chic!

I can’t even! As if Moncler needed another reason to be special, they went and  added a PEPLUM to the back of this rain jacket! I know, RIGHT!!
